Two years ago, I took a leap of faith and walked away from the corporate life. I had spent my days in corporate boardrooms, but instead of chasing executive heights, I realized I’d rather plunge into oceanic depths.

Now, I live out out of a dive bag exploring the world underwater as a videographer aboard White Manta Liveaboards, one of Southeast Asia’s premier liveaboards. I am happy. With several hundred dives, over 500 hours of filming, and over 800 hours editing, I’ve gained a deep understanding of what it takes to craft compelling underwater films. In addition, my current role has also given me a strong understanding of customer expectations and content trends.

Whether I am using a simple action camera or a cinema camera capturing 6K ProRes Raw footage, each trip and project I’ve undertaken has pushed me to sharpen both my diving and filming skills to meet the unique challenges of underwater filmmaking.

Throughout my journey, the drive for excellence has been a constant. From serving in the elite Commando unit of the Singapore Armed Forces to advancing quickly in the corporate world, that commitment has always defined me, and it fuels my passion for telling stories - stories that go beyond the surface
